Dinah, Maybe a little gray mason stain would do it.

I also love those Newcomb glazes. Many of the local "old Misses" bring
them out to show me their family heirlooms when they find out I am a
potter.

Hi Dinah,

Iron oxide and nickel oxide both grey down colours.

Try the iron first because nickel has some toxic concerns.

Add 1, 1.5, and 2 % iron - make up 500 grams and add 1% iron - dip a test
and add another half a percent - sieve again and dip - then add another
half percent and dip the third test.

I will be surprised if that does not do the job - if it's still too blue
reduce the cobalt a little.
