Millie: The directions on my 20 year old (not deairing) Bluebird say to add
a cup of water, and let it sit. I have had the problem you speak of but not
as extremely as you. I really would add water, let sit overnight, add
water, let sit overnight, and after about 3 cups just give the switch a
flip, on/off like that. If there are grinchy sounds, add more water. At
the end there will be an awful mess, but till there is SOME grindless
grinchless movement, do not take it apart. You then DO take it apart. Let
the clay on the auger dry (again) and this time you can pick it off without
needing any force.

I HAVE done this to my Bluebird BUT THE NEWER ONES MAY WANT SOMETHING ELSE.
