I must make a correction; it was meant to read "What an accomplishment!!!!"

Congratulations, Alex!

Wow- you have come quite a long way in your journey to fulltime mudslinger! I
would love to see what kind of work you are throwing these days. Could you
send some pictures or are there any on the web? Is Cold Springs Studio getting a
website soon?

By the way, after 8 years, I am still eating out of those beautiful bowls of
yours. They are 2 of the only 3 bowl I eat from *grin*.

Dolita-

Thank you. I am still witholding judgement as to the level of accomplishment.... gotta get us through our first winter on our lowered income before I feel more assured.

As for my back... actually I had been pain free since my second disk surgery in April... until about 7 weeks ago when Cornell laid-off one of my co-workers and gave me all of her work. Between the two of us we had held the place together for about 3 years. The stress of doing both jobs was interminable. Needless to say, stress and sitting are killers for low back problems!

Throwing on the other hand is fine. I have thrown standing up since 1990. Nothing fancy, just a brent on concrete blocks with some bricks under each leg. Right now I am finding that my arms and joints are having a harder time with me throwing than my back. Best part so far is being able to go for a nice long walk in the middle of the day and no one giving me crap for being out of the office!!! Soon it will be a midday ski and that will be mighty fine.

cheers and thanks,
-Alex

Jonathan,

Consider it three galleries. I'd love to have some of your pots here in my
gallery.
