Hi to All,
Will, if you are running OS 10.x.x, you have some simple capabilities
right now! AppleWorks has web publishing power built in, tho' it may
not be as easy as some of the web only software available.
iPhoto can publish a page of photos to a web site, this does work
fairly well and easily.
As for commercial, non-Apple software, one you might want to check out
is called Freeway by Softpress at www.softpress.com. They have a free
trial of Freeway Express ($89.00 if you want to buy), and Freeway Pro
is pricey, $200 dollars upgrade from Express!
Macromedia just came out with one called Contribute, if your a .Mac
user, it's only $79, other wise I believe it's around $150.
AND... there's always eBay! You can pick up older web building software
at good prices. They might have to run in OS9 (classic), but would
still give usable results. Remember, just 'cause it's old don't mean
it's broke!
As to which I prefer, well I've only played around with the two
mentioned, they both seem easy to use, getting a few photos online with
iPhoto was a breeze!
