new afforable webspace for clay artists ...???

My name is Alicia -- I run a website that offers affordable webspace to
artists. Right now we serve a variety of media; however, I have been
thinking about making the entire site devoted to CLAY artists!

The site would be a flat fee of $79 and you would get to post up to 10
images for a year plus text -- the details would remain the same as are on
my site now. www.thesiameseconnection.com Every time you wanted to
change your images or text -- whether it be 1 or all 10, a fee of $10 would
be added. You might say WHOA...that's a lot for changing stuff but the flat
fee is sooo minimal that it seems to work out.

The reason I have chose to focus on clay is because I'm looking for a nitch
that would bring more traffic to my site...everyone benefits with more
traffic! Plus, you don't have to worry about designing your page or hiring
someone to host your site. The site gets about 600 HITS A DAY...as is.

PLUS your email is right on your page. If people want to contact you they
can without a middle man... that means NO GALLERY CUTS. Later I would be
happy to add chat rooms, newsletter etc., if people were into it.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?? -- Would people be into this? Is there a need for
this?? Please let me know!

Hi Alicia,

There is a website already on the net that is possibly already doing what
you propose and it only costs $10.00 a year with a loose limit of about 12
images plus unlimited text. You can see it at

http://www.greatpottery.com

This site has been on the internet only since early September and it is
slowly growing in potters. Those of us already on the site would love to
have you join us.

There are also FREE options open to all Clayart subscribers.
Nothing fancy or "instant" about them, but there... Has been for
quite a while... A Good Will gesture by Clayarters for
Clayarters... Either as full-blown "personal pages" or just a
place to show the odd piece of work, a new glaze, nifty tool,
that kiln-of-your-dreams... Whatever.

One such site is SUCAWS http://www.clayart.fsnet.co.uk
and there are others...

Sincerely

Janet Kaiser
