when you look at the pictures of the building
of the kiln in n.c. you will notice that leeanne,
is building the kiln. i was an advisor. wayne
gail, lisa, gordon, john and the rest actually built the kiln.

we were fortunate to have a fine welder and
sculptor to help us with the metal work. it makes
a huge difference when tools are on sight and
ready to work correctly.

leeanne had a huge pile of brick so we did
not have to fudge. the slab was more than
ample, and flat as a pancake.

the big `knob` on top of the stack is just for
fun. architects play.

it was a pleasure to help with this kiln. leeanne
took charge, now owns the kiln, and understands
it. she will fire it with lisa on saturday. do a test
run. she has more than ample gas, good system
of burners and a kiln that should give her years
of service. she makes fine pots and this kiln will
only make them better. it was fun to take a kiln
that someone else did not want and make it into
a perfect sized kiln for someone else. leeanne
will not have to `chase` this kiln. about 20 cubes.
perfect.

lisa skeen is an old friend, and it is a pleasure to
organize with her. she knows her stuff, can be
trusted and gets the job done well.

always fun to meet clayart friends and work with
them. each was an asset, and that made a huge
difference from folks watching and standing around.

i have one of gail's pix on my website/clayart page if you missed
the 56 gala pix.
