Karin, why not donate them to a local library? If they can't use them, they
may be connected to a library network to find a library that can. Also, could
be a tax write-off as well.

I have copiously gone thru 25 yrs. of old Ceramic Monthlys (okay maybe not
all of them but most) and cut out the articles that were inspirational and put
them all in
loose leaf binder and recycled the rest. Good for the environment!

Hi
They might be a donation to clay it forward. I haven't been involved
in clay that long and I am always looking for something new to me. It is
always an inspiration and learning experience to view older editions when I can.
They would be a great addition to any library as well. Dawn C

I, for one, would gladly pay you for them, sight unseen and condition
unknown. Studio potter, Ceramics Monthly, Clay Times, etc., it's all
good to me.

load of clay mags ... and who still hasn't settled with her the issue
of the hundreds of vinyl memories in the garage.)

I am an inveterate pack rat. I started scanning my clay journals and keeping
files on my computer years ago. Initially, I just scanned articles that
interested me but found that my interest change and so for the past 2 years
I scan almost all articles. I have some CM articles dating back to 1975 as
well as many other ceramic journals. I can do word searches with windows
explorer. I have a laptop and often take it to bed and review articles and
pictures. I also have several of my favorite ceramic books electronically.
what's really neat is that I can even have my books read to me using Adobe
Reader [now isn't that lazy]. I love reading off the computer; I like to
highlight, bookmark and bold things to remember and I can then change these
refereces back to normal when I have committed them to memory. I also have
over 300 classics downloaded free from
http://digital.library.upenn.edu/books/. When I travel etc, I have a whole
library that accompanies me. Yes I have lots of storage - actually two hard
drives with over 100 Gbytes of capacity. One I use for back up and the other
is my primary disc. When traveling, I keep my backup at home so if my
computer is lost or stolden, I won't lose my data. Almost never share
because I don't someone coming after me for copyright infringement and I
just plain would have an ethical problem with copying thinks electronically
and sharing - wouldn't be fair to the authors or publishing companies.

Thanks Susan, I might do that too, it's too expensive to ship to someone. I
also have Clay Times and Pottery Making Illustrated, I'm giving those to my
teacher.
Great idea, thanks,

Hi Steve,
First you probably better settle the matter with your wife, you know how mad
we can get when we find additional junk. I am going to inventory shortly
what I'll get rid of and then let you know the number, others have been
interested, so I'll share.
