Just to clarify to the list, here is how I was "mean" to Taylor
at the Texas Clay Festival:
I was showing off all my homemade clay tools, telling everyone
why it is better to make your own tools, when I realized
I had brought two store-bought Kemper trimming tools (Phil's
$50 tools stay at home). I told the group that it is possible to
make your own trimming tools, and, in fact, sitting in the audience
was an inventive potter who had made his own trimming tools,
the formally pony-tailed, now clean-cut Taylor from Waco.
I then forced him to tell the group how he had made the tools.
I only hope the shame and humiliation doesn't end his potting
career.

Yes, I got down to Gruene, TX this weekend and saw and
talked with some very nice Texas potters. They also make
some pretty damn fine pots too. Imagine the surprise when
I realized that not a one of them pots looked like an old
Italian pot.
David H. demoed too. He said he was going to do very little
throwing this demo and indstead he was going to do more
talking. HA! He did a lot of throwing, a bunch of finishing,
& even more talking. So, I saw some more throwing AND got an
ear full. I'm still mad at him though 'cause he was mean to
me. If you want to get on to him for being mean to the newbie,
you should stop by his place Nov. 22 and 23 when he is having
his holiday open house. Eat his food then scold him for being
mean to me.

Okay everyone:
I'm not talking about that. That was of fun, and I=20
kind of got a kick out of telling people they can make
their own tools.
No, what I'm talking about is when David snuck up from
behind and pantsed me right in front of Gary and Daphne
Hatcher's display.
Funny, ha ha, David.
