I have had a couple of inquiries from claybuds regarding
Potter Don Hunt, who writes in to CLAYART from Alpine, East
of San Diego CA.

Don lives in Harbison Canyon near Alpine . I have good
information that Don's home was spared, even though almost
every other home in Harbison canyon was destroyed. Don's
home and studio have an excellent firebreak surrounding
them.

Don's next door neighbor is potter and sculptor Hans
Tegebo. Hans' home and studio were burned to the ground.
He is well known in the San Diego clay community, and he
is the person we will be trying to help with a pottery sale
on Dec 6. He is safe and healthy.
Please forgive me, I must get out and tend to some things
this morning. I will have other news on sale, but those of
you who know Don can know, as best I know, that his place is
still standing and is OK, though the trauma of that
neighborhood is extreme and all are in the early stages of
coping.
