Hi Alisa,
Saw your web site all I have to say is YOU GO GIRL!!!!! your glaze test pics were way cool but, I liked seeing a face to put with the name even more. I had some trying to contact you direct but I assume it's due to my computer ignorance over anything else. You have some lovely glazes & I can't wait to try the carmel apple one now that I've seen it! I'm with you . I get all my glazes the same way you do and have what has been called "a great pallette" ( by my teacher in the comm. coll. I attended) I work in ^6 also maybe we can trade a glaze or two just for the fun of it ! I like to use my glazes like trading cards it makes me feel like the person who gave me theirs is in the studio with me when I'm making it and when I pull them out of the kiln ; ) oh , by the way , LOVE the fish that leads to your e mail link!!! hope to hear from you soon!

Thank you Logan. Wow, that was a great good morning at this early hour. I
am going to get to studio very early because I am going up for practical
test on Friday. A throwing test. More on that later.
All of my glaze tests are there for you to try. If you have some you want
to send for me to test, that you can do. Otherwise, consider them all
traded - as I harvest and then hope we can reap something when we need it.
regards from Alisa

Hi Carol,
Thanks for the info I'll write it on my glaze card so I don't forget! ( oh those alzheimer moments ; o ) ) Is clayart the most unbeliveable thing for me ! I probably will never travel the world ( unless I become famous as a potter all of a sudden. O.K. so I wont hold my breath) but to be " talking " to someone in Denmark in the morning and someone in Dubai that same night just blows me away! THANKS ALL!

Hi Logan,
This glaze was created by Pete Pinnell. See
http://www.frogpondpottery.com/glazestability/glaze0022.html for John H's
write-up. The oxide addtions are different, but the base is where we all
start.
Thought you might like to know.
John's site has lots of good information about glaze stability and other
things.

Hey there Alisa,
This is soooo cool! I know I'm having WAY too much fun with this. O.K. here goes,
This is a two glaze combo that can be used a few different ways . I personally like the overlap of these two glazes as much as I like the two used separately. Recently I have been applying glaze A in a thin ( appx.1 quick dip or a light spraying or a brushing) coat . Then a thicker coat of glaze B over all. it doesn't run too much if at all. Naturally you need to test to see what the " too much" point is in your kiln , and with your chemicals, how you apply the glazes ect. When it works for me I get lovely streaking/motteling almost a floating blue effect with dark blue/black specks. Both glazes are ^6 ox. and the surface is glossy. after seeing your stuff I noticed you use mostly matt looking (at least on my computer they looked a bit matt) but, I also noticed you had a glossy surface or two ( if I remember right) altho ,I do have my alzheimer moments & may be wrong. ; ) I'll also share one that is matt but NOT food safe (glaze C) good luck hope these work for you & hope you like
'em. How do they say good luck where you live? (and I don't mean in english! ;o }
