Hello listees! I'm back after a prolonged absence, and have a recipe
question for you high fire folks.
Years ago I made a number of pieces at a community pottery center and
ended up glazing them with a high fire matt green copper glaze that was
lent to me by one of the students there. I got the recipe from her and
then somehow lost it.
It produced a very matt, light to medium tone green, not turquoise, that
looked superb on highly textured pieces. It didn't seem to break at all
in color, even if thickly applied. Since then I have been experimenting
with other glazes but all seem to produce a turquoise result, with an
uneven not too attractive surface.
Does any one know the key to this problem? (Varying the color, and
texture?) I'm sure the recipe is ubiquitous and very common - I just
can't find it. I'm interested in any and all high fire matt greens.

Mark,
I'd be happy to send you what I have but it will take me a couple of days to
do so. Patience please.
