not signing/not filtering

Eh, people ...

This doesn't have to be an absolutist experience, here with a mailing
list -- it's easy enough to set your filters to cut each other out, if
you can't deal with each other.

Personally, I've added two people to my filters for this mailing list
since I joined (one who sent me a patently abusive message off-list, the
other just wasted my time trolling on-list) and I rarely see even a
reference to those folks now, though I'm sure they're still posting. If
your mailreader program doesn't have good filters, upgrade or get a
stand-alone filtering program. Heck, these days even MS Outlook has an
adequate filtering system. I believe the latest version of OE may have
acceptable filtering. Forte Agent has been really strong on this for
years.

Then you can still participate with the 99% of the folks on the list who
aren't annoying you.

I have been using Forte Agent for about 8 years, and love it. It's
always had filtering, and the options for filtering are almost
limitless. I've tried other programs over the years, but none can
compare to Agent. =20

I've been looking into the new version of Outlook, which is supposed
to be awesome as far as filtering and flagging goes. anyone know if
it's worth the 100 bucks to upgrade? I'm interested in Outlook solely
because it integrates so easily with the rest of the stuff on my
computer, including my Palm. It's the only thing Agent can't do. =20
