What do you think?
If a customer complains that the price of your
mugs are too high, pull out of a damp box a
mug and a pre-pulled handle and ask the
customer to attach the handle to the mug.
The value of a nice handle on a mug sure
went up in my mind tonight !!
Grrrrrrr!!!

Hey Earl!
this is logan in Smokey Point ( just north of Marysville, Everett ) Wa. I've had the very same experience WAY too many times in the past year and I know for a fact my prices are shall we say "competive". Since it's plain to see I'm not the only one this is happening to in this area perhaps it's just our states economy ? (at least that's what I keep telling myself) Of corse we can't eliminate the possabilty that these people JUST DON"T HAVE A CLUE!!! well, enough of that rant. Have to go to bed so I can get five Hrs. sleep before my biggest show of the year. Keep your chin up (but not too far out) and roll with the punches. not everyone has been blessed with the opertunity to discover the world of clay! L.O.L. !

Earl,
Thanks for the best idea I have heard for discussing "price is too high"
subject. Why just ask as customer(browser)to attach a handle.
I am thinking of making up small bags containing a handful of clay, a
couple of leaves, a bottle of glaze and a coupon to fire what ever they
make for a couple of bucks.
Sell it to them for 1/2 the price of the art piece in question and
wish them luck.

Nah, then you're selling entertainment...that
costs extra! At least 50% more than the mug
as a finished object. ;)
