Does anyone know how to adjust the Display Properties for the monitor?
Yesterday my computer decided to change ITSELF to 640x480 16 color and I can't make
it change back to what it was. The bar that is supposed to slide to change the
settings won't respond at all. If anyone can help I will be forever in their
debt.

Gaye, close all screens, right click on the desk top. A window will open. Go
to the bottom of the window and left click on properties. A new window will
open titled display properties. Look up near the top to right hand side of
the display properties window and you should see a tab that says settings.
Left click on the settings tab. In the settings window look down toward the
lower left side and you will see an arrow shaped device under a heading
called screen resolution. To increase your screen resolution move the arrow
to the right. After doing this it is best, but not necessary, if you restart
your machine. You will be prompted to do so and to save the settings that
you desire.
Hope this helps

I suggest you go to the computer forum on www.craigslist.org and get the
real techie geeks from coast to coast that lurk and love to help - I have
found the computer help to be friendly like the help one gets on clayart. If
you are nice, you get the answer in the hour...
Fabulous bulletin board. Mostly SF bay area, but coast to coast (and English
Language as far as I can tell) on the forums.
Bonita Cohn in freshly washed San Francisco after a successful CLAY/Glass
show with the ACGA at Ft. Mason.
BTW: A woman was looking at my stuff and asking about woodfiring... And
flashing slips. She is new to woodfiring. I asked where she fired and she
told me with Susan Beecher in NY. (Out here on vacation....) I was glad to
hear that they have been firing after a year's battle in court. I told her
how the question about Ms. Beecher and the outcome had come up recently on
Clayart. She told me how the One Nasty Neighbor, who lost his suit against
her, comes out and takes pictures while they fire. She said he had a mean
look on his face as he uses the camera like he's really "shooting." A real
Grinch. The rest of the neighbors are fine with it.
