thanks craig for your fine experiments.
that is what it takes.
there are no simple answers, just testing and
seeing what happens in your kiln.
i have mentioned the idea of a full dip of the brick.
i think it will help a great deal.
and, we like the k-26's best.
just a bit more heft and beef.
try some fiber, soaked in itc.
put that in the flameway.
keep us posted.
we have done some of the same..and it works ok.
we always spray our stacks with a lite coat of 213, the
sleeves sprayed with itc 100.
and, yes, tip spray is hard.
i do use 213 on thermocouples and it works well.
some metals do not work as well with 213.
i like to think of mr. lee in china. nee how mr. lee.
sha sha mr. melsan.
starting a small commercial pottery.
we would all like him. he is on to something.
a few press molds, cheap white clay.
lots of hands.
they work hard, make clay things...sell them.
they are making a good life. they are in charge.
what the hell is wrong with that?
better than working their asses to the bone on
a communal farm. get nothing.
a tiny bit of self reliance. opportunity. and, they
are making the best of it.
when i go to mexico, i like to buy things. it helps
them a great deal. it matters not a bit what the cost
is, they sell stuff..make stuff. and that is ok.
so do we.
