After quite a while spent figuring how to get the
lid up on my little flattop...
... the $75 engine hoist from harbor freight
is the most elegant solution-hung it from a piece of inch and a half
pipe
and cabled up the lid...pushed the "up" button
and, well, it went up. Just great.

now for the itc. Ordered the sandblasting gun-
just need to settle on a good compressor.
Time for some archival rereading I guess.
