In a way I feared Mr Hewitt's answer. My conscience told me it was so.
A recipe needs to be accompanied by a formula of some sort--because =
otherwise we know too little about what really really is in it.
I know that.. But unfortunately thousands of students who learn their =
clay skills at recreational centers or workshops emerge clasping recipes =
to their bosoms and go home to be heartbroken.
No one has told them that the ingredients change, vary and so on. =20
My question was in part meant to evoke answers. I suspected indeed what =
the answer would be. Which of course is why I try for Wollastonite and =
frits...But the idea of asking for calcium carbonate instead of whiting =
when one "shops" is most excellent. Thanks to the one who suggested =
that.
