I've been trying some large earthenware tile with high relief figures on =
them. I wanted to leave the figures unglazed so I carefully painted them =
with wax, then dipped the remainder. There was quite a bit of glaze =
adhering to the wax which I tried to clean off without much effect. When =
I fired day before yesterday the glaze droplets had fallen back on the =
clay once the wax melted away. rats! Would i have better luck using a =
latex resist and pealing it off before firing? alternately, suppose I =
used rubber cement and pealed it off? Or left either of these on for =
firing. As it is , Ive got a lot of grinding ahead of me....
