Hello, I, Jaap Bergisch, am a new member of this list. In my free time I
use to make tiles in the old Dutch way. You can see my work on
www.aanhuisgebakken.tk.
I do not know yet what I can expect of this membership. I will wait for
any respons!

Some of you have asked about the tile tools Jim made for me. The tools
as well as instructions are on the blog.

It's cool and overcast today so I went out into the studio (which
would be the back patio) and made 8 tiles. I also did a drape mold
using raku clay and I made some ^6 rattles.

It feels good to play in the mud again.

Deb,

Tell the old man, "Good job." I didn't use such a tile press when I
did my small tile project but I would have if I had had the time to
make one. Just love hitting things with a rubber mallet.

Have you read through Giorgini's book? Great read and he has plans for
another type of tile press. Go handyman.

Hi Deb,
You and I seem to have a lot in common. I love making rattles. I didn't see any on your web site so give me a heads up if you will when you post rattle photos. I would do the same in return but am not properly equipt to do all the cyber space photo stuff. Hopefully I will crawl out of the dark ages sometime in the next couple of years.
And yes, I agree that your husband should get "husband of the year" after seeing the photos of the cat hair removal process. Our pets give us so much but the gift of pet hair is one we could all do without. Happy potting and sewing. --Kim H.
