Hey Ellen,
I use latex resist for the black areas on both my Raku and Naked Raku. =
If it needs to be painted on with detail I usually thin it down with a =
little water. I have also thinned it down, put it in a slip trailer and =
trailed it on pieces as a resist. I prefer the latex because it is easy =
to peel away after the glazing and I don't have to spend time cleaning =
glaze off wax. I also place a piece of cardboard on top of my pieces in =
the reduction can. This helps produce rich satiny blacks. Hope this =
helps!
Peace,
