Logan,

Man, what a COOL name! I have never met someone with your name. Kool!

Anyway, this seems to be my night for answering emails. I have never
received so many. This clay art list is way kool!

My mom was from AZ, and we kids always looked forward to our 2 week
vacations to our uncles ranch up in the White Mountains, namely Kohl's Ranch
area. Then we moved to Holbrook from Calif, and stayed there about 6 months.
Mom & Dad lost their butts finance wise, so we moved back to Calif. I cried
like a dog, and begged to stay in AZ, but no go.

So, it was my lifelong dream to move BACK to AZ, even tho' I was stuck in
Georgia for 30 years. (Joined the Marine Corps when I was 19, and stayed at
the base in Albany, Georgia for 30 years.) I worked full time as a Graphics
Illustrator, and part-time as a nurse/paramedic. The base is due to close
soon, and I found this job I have now as a nurse at the White Mountain
Apache Indian Rez. And the government paid for my move!

So we bought 40 acres way out in the boonies, and will eventually build a
straw bale house, and do the solar panel electricity thingie. I found out
that it is possible to have an electric wheel, and fire with propane, even
out in the boonies.

I have never been to Jerome, but really want to go, given the time. I have
read stories aobut it in Arizona Highways, and it is on my list of "places
to go when I have the time".

Sorry for the long post, but I have the time right now, as it is 3:15am, and
all my patients are asleep, thank God!

Thanks for the heads up on Jerome. I really enjoy hearing from other clay
folks. I love the pizza box idea! If I ate pizza, that would be the best way
to get rid of them.
