silver alternatives for ceramic water filters

Friends of Silver Ceramic Purifiers,
Greetings from Nepal. Here is a recent update, Toward Sustainability
of Silver Saturation for Ceramic Water Purifiers. The link is:
http://www.purifier.com.np/silveralts

This is about filter saturation with either silver nitrate or silver
chloride, this last very easy to do. Store bought filters can be
saturated with, 1. silver nitrate, then, 2. dried, then, 3. have
salt water run through them. So the soluble silver nitrate, inside the
filter, is replaced with relatively insoluble silver chloride. This
does a really good job killing the bacteria.

Perhaps this option would also be a good choice in emergency
situations. Simply buy up all the candle filters, in a local market,
then saturate with silver chloride. Then these could be built into
bucket systems.

Any personal observation, please send to me, since I cannot practically
subscribe to clayart.
Cheers,
Reid Harvey
