Dear Clayarters,
>did fire them on top of each other. Could that be a problem?
I believe that I addressed this problem before. If your tiles are stacked
on top of one another, the heat does not get to the center of the pile as
soon as it does the outside. You would be better off standing the tiles on
edge leaning against a heavy post and then allowing the heat to reach all
surfaces except the very top where all the tiles touch each other. Space
the bottom edges at least 1/2" apart. I have also offered the suggestion
of putting matching shards between each tile in a tri-formation and stacked
so that heated air can get between the tiles.
If you have further questions, do not hesitate to write.
Regards, Bonnie Staffel, Charlevoix
