Would someone take a minute to tell me, and I am sure others, what ITC is and does? Thanks

There are hundreds of posts in the archives about ITC
and its use; go and check it out. I'm not scorning your
request, truly, but it's wealth of information that
you won't get from whatever responses your current
question receives. No fresh question on an old topic
can possibly generate a depth and range equal to the
cumulative responses of the past, though it may bring
new angles to light.
In a nutshell, though, it's a refractory protective
coating. There are formulas for brick and for metal.
It can prevent the deterioration of kiln walls and
improve insulating propeties, and protect electric
kiln elements from the effects of reduction.

Snail is quite right on this one. If you go far enough back in the archives
you will find a great post by Nils Lou explaining the complexity of this
product and what it does.

<is and does? Thanks >>
Since ITC products are proprietary Compounds I doubt if you would ever =
be able to find out their composition or how they are made. I am certain =
this valuable knowledge will be protected by Patent Licence.
But Snail gives a good summary and there is some reliable information in =
Nils Lou's book "The Art of Firing" ISBN 90-5703-18-25
