Hi folks, I've been looking all over online for info on a used Gare kiln =
that I'm considering buying. But I can't find any specs on this older =
model. Anyone out there know what a Gare 2327 (240v, 45 amp, 10800 =
watt) might be equivalent to? I'm tyring to figure out to what cone it =
will fire. The seller has used it primarily for earthenware cone =
firings, and I'm looking for somethign that will get to at least ^6.

Thanks for any input!

I believe Gare is now Evenheat.
I found info on this kiln at: http://www.evenheat-kiln.com/cerkilns/rm2/hf2327/hf2327.htm

I have a newer Model 1822 with controller. Fires like a charm to ^6 and is rated to ^8, but I haven't tried it. There are kilns with more/thicker walls and probably better insulation, but the price was right for this at the time and it has worked well for me.
