New show at the Philly Museum.

The famous pottery's works, though sold as art, came from a nearly =
factory-style setting.

By the time Virginia and Gerald Gordon donated their collection, the =
Art Museum had put together a respectable Rookwood collection from =
various sources. The Gordons' impressive trove of Rookwood, which the =
museum acquired several years ago in the 125th anniversary campaign for =
art gifts, transformed the institution into a primary repository for =
this ware.
