David: You'll get no hell from me. I make them, but like you I make a nice
dinner plate and sell them a bowl to place in the middle. To me the bowl in
the middle is about as bright as writing COOKIES on the side of a jar.
Hell, don't write anything and you can use the jar for almost anything. I
have sold many dippies this Christmas season that are an oval made in a
press mold with a small bowl that can be placed off center or anywhere the
hosts little heart desires.
When making them many years ago i glazed the bowl and stuck it on top of the
plate in the firing -put it in the middle if you like or off to the side. I
like the idea of selling them individual pieces though since it just makes
for more options.
People are into salsa and chips, veggies and dip, shrimp and sauce so I
provide. I do make kitchen pots, so I just find a way to make what the
markets demands and please myself in my approach to it.
Safe driving to visit Minnesota Slim.
Cheers,
Tony
