Hat Pins as well, would answer as a decent and good looking
'Needle Tool'...
They used to be a Woman's extemporaneous defence too, if
needed to be called upon...
Too bad they faded from our cultural horizon...

Dear Mary White,
Needles come in all shapes and sizes. Ask for Large Darning
Needles. They are stout and long, upwards of two and a half
inches.
Best regards,
Ivor Lewis. Redhill, South Australia

I'd forgotten about hat pins, my mother used to have a couple. They
were fearsome objects and I'm sure they'd come in handy if a gang of
studio invaders broke down my door.
