Hi Rachel,
I was told by Seattle Pottery Supply that laquer thinner in a pinch would work. It did fine for me when I used it. Happy Holidays!

Do I have to use the "proper" brush cleaner to clean up after overglazing, or can I use any solvent? For example, what is the difference between "Essence" (Duncan) brush cleaner or using any old paint thinner or solvent? If there is something I can buy at the old hardware store, what is it? Is the same cleaner used for lusters and metallics? Thanks,
Rachel
