My friend, teacher and mentor, Lana Wilson, asked me to post this...please=20

Dear ClayArt Wonderful Folk,
I want to tell you how very grateful I am. Donations to CERF from=20
ClayArt are=A0 ALREADY arriving at the CERF office and the message was=20
only posted about six days ago. I am so proud to be part of a ceramic=20
world of generous caring people. My continuing thanks to you. If you=20
missed the original email about the fires and CERF it is below.
In appreciation,
Lana Wilson,
Dear ClayArt Folks,
The huge fires=A0in the=A0San Diego area mean I know two potters who lost=20
absolutely everything -- house and studio, glaze formulas developed=20
over years of work, tools, equipment, and a lot more=A0-- to these=20
enormous fires. This does not even=A0include other artists who have also=20
lost everything. The situations of these artists=A0is particularly=20
poignant for me as I am on the board for the Craft Emergency Relief=20
Fund (CERF). I read overwhelming applications from craft people across=20
the country who tell us how as little as $1,500=A0 can be so helpful (we=20
go as high as $8,000). I just talked to an artist from Maine last month=20
who said CERF got $1,500 to her within such a short time after her=20
accident that it made all the difference in paying some bills and gave=20
her a huge psychological boost too.
So I have a suggestion. What if=A0everyone on=A0ClayArt gave a donation=A0of=
=20
any size=A0and we made a difference together? Imagine what we could do?=20
If you want to join in, send a check to CERF today:

In the memo of=A0your check put: "CLAY ART DONATION." CERF=A0will keep=20
track of the amount we raise and I'll let you know what we were able to=20
do by Jan 15.=A0=A0

Thanks so much for reading this and I thank many of you in advance for=20
your tax-deductible donation.
Warmly,
Lana Wilson
