Happy Holidays Everyone. A heartfelt thanks to your gracious exchange of information and fun.

Re: PRINTERS: Gee all you HP bashers, mine is not a nightmare but a pleasant dream.
Have had the Photosmart 1000 for 2 or 3 years and never one problem. Prints great color on glossy, card and plain papers. Can just stack them up and they print without individual handfeeding.

Just got a new computer, hubby taking the old one, and bought an
HP 1210 printer/flat bed scanner. It was cheap and not even unpacked yet. Not sure how it will do. In past, 8-10 years ago I have found that real real cheap ones don't function as well. Will report later.

Re: WHEEL OR KILN FIRST: I'd say go for the kiln first and have a good time exploring and expanding your hand built functional and non-functional work. It took me 18 years before exploring handbuilt.

Re: NON FUNCTIONAL WORK: It's 98% of what I do anymore. Love it. Can't live without it. Occasionally I do make a vase water tight.
