Yes, I am going to tie these all together in a feat of true daring!
In my home town of Welland we used to have a Rose Festival complete
with a beauty pageant.
I remember each contestant being asked what their career plans were :
' I'll either be a fashion model or a plastic surgeon '
' I'd like to be a movie star or a scientist '
Why does this come to mind when someone states they could either
be a studio potter making one of a kind originals or be the head of
a production pottery?
The two jobs are entirely different.
They each call for specific talents and great commitment.
I am not saying that no one can manage to accomplish them
both .... but these people are few and far between.
