using ebay to sell my work

I have tried ebay in the past to sell some
of my clay objects. No luck....not even visits
to look at the work. I tried several catagories
to explore the traffic....
no luck....

So, I make bamboo brushes, and I sat down and
made a bunch to sell to generate some income
for the holiday season.
Primarily...due to the response of the group
of clayarters....I managed to sell several
brushes.
So...a major thank you for the support...
but I am also still mystified about what it
takes to sell pots on ebay.
Perhaps a reference to a web page....
perhaps a reference to similar sites or
categories....teapots? I am not sure.
But I think I am going to try to branch
out into another category.

I have since Christmas not sold much.
Still have a couple of brushes listed
for the next day...then I may take a break...
(See no. 2370824863)
it gets expensive to list...so if my starting
price is $30.00 so I don't get burned with the
sale of the brushes...take $3.00 out for listing....
then a percentage of the sale price....
that gets to be too expensive.....
So....thanks to all who supported me in my
brush venture...I may let it rest for a bit and
then return....
for those taking the plunge all the best of luck
with the sale of pots....

I've sold other things on ebay and I always go for the reserve price of
what I expect from the
item and just start my bidding at 1 penny. You're charged a percentage
on your starting price
plus your sold price. I've factored that its cheaper in the long run
to start off as cheap as possible,
but then again, I have yet to try pottery.

Selling pottery...I would rather go with the "Buy it Now" option but
mark it up about 20-25%.

So no flame emails!!!

Karen...thanks for the brushes! I love them! My Daughters were asking
which part of the Elk
did you use?
