your post about them making their own tools is great.. im sure they will do
that in the future. but first they need to learn the basics of making
pottery. if they dont have the tools to learn from how will they know what
to make for tools. my job is to teach them the basics first. i first would
like to get them tools to get started. they then can learn the to improvise
making tools with what they havelater. how can they do that without any
knowledge of tools and what they do. im sure you didnt start off making
tools without any knowledge of them to begin with. they need examples
first. right now i want to teach them pottery. thats my goal to get them
excited about what i love and do. i really think your suggestion is great
as i already had that in mind. but thats for a later date. maybe some
potters with tool making skills could go to belize on a future date and
teach them to make their tools..
