Hi!
I live in Hartford and attend the Hartford Art school--ceramics major.
Best advice is to probably not live in Hartford but in a surrounding
town. Farmington, Avon, West Hartford, Burlington(a bit farther--but
very nice) are very nice areas with good school systems. Avoid
Boomfield, New Britten, Elmwood, East Hartrford if possible (nasty sink
hole places that are good to be if you just want to save money for
something nicer). Collinsville/Canton are beautiful little towns as
well. Southington, Plainville and Bristol are decent, but I wouldn't
really want to live there. I can tell you more if you need--let me know.
If you need an apartment for a bit while looking for a home try Clemens
Place on Farmingotn Ave on the West Hartford/Hartford line. And keep in
mind that it is very cold here and the people generally are too--but not I.
Happy Hunting!
peace
