I bought and donated one of those centering aids to the retirement

I have two comments/questions about this previous email. First I must
have missed or deleted the original about the centering aid and would
like to know more. What is it's official name and who carries it?

Second in reaction to the removal of such an aid in a retirement
community I would say that the person teaching is unsuited to work with
seniors. I teach them every day and they are eager for success so any
aid which would facilitate that is useful. While learning to center on
ones own is gratifying, finishing a pot is more so and if this aid would
help those with arthritic joints and weaker hands to realize the joy of
creating then it should be used.
Further for someone to turn down a donated item is dumb. You will
certainly never donate again and may pass your experience on to others
so they will not be inclined to do so. I have in my time here received
many wonderful donations. I take everything, send a thank you and then
use the items as I can. That way people keep us in mind when they have
things to give. I think this person is foolish.
I think you should email some of the comments you received from your
clayart group to this person in charge and get some rethinking going
on.
I hope this experience does not discourage you from finding a different
facility that would appreciate your generous interest.
My thought's on the situation!
