I've mentioned photobucket before:
http://photobucket.com
It is a good place to put your images so they don't take up
space on your home server.
I've been on http://livejournal.com for a while. It is a
great place to post photos and writing. Using a free program, with
very little html knowledge, you can update frequently. It is much
easier than an old style webpage for updating. There is also a
feature where you can link your webpage to friends or groups. It is
the "next generation" email list. The only drawback, is that the
free access is only possible if you get a code from another member.
Free accounts (like I have) only get one account to pass on and I gave
mine away already.
But there is another weblog service http://new.blogger.com/
If you use the Google toolbar on your internet browser, you can update
here from your web browser too, with very little html knowledge. The
communities are not so automatic, but you can great group weblogs where
anybody who is a member can post.
You can find the google toolbar at the google search engine
space. These services are a great way to share your latest photos,
articles, writing, etc.
