Hi Lisle,



The Tables may actually not be 'MDF', but instead, are
perhaps a 'MEDEX' or an exterior Grade of MDF or it's like.

Medite, or MDF, or their kin, if allowed to absorb
water...will 'puff'...and the Table would ( I would expect
anyway,) begin to have softly lumpy bulges where the 'puff'
did not quite return to flat upon drying out...looking like
like 'welts'...

While the exterior grades...would remain flat and smooth...
