The current issue of the Smithsonian has a nice article on George Ohr.
Although giving him credit for his brilliant creative spirit, it also
played up his eccentricities, and the pots shown tended more toward the
fringe than some of his more elegant functional items. I remember being
particularly struck ( years ago) with a photo of his combined coffee and
tea server, which had two handles and two spouts, and allowed either
coffee or tea to be poured from the same pot. I suppose that was
brilliant and eccentric as well, come to think of it.
