john, I would be happy to send you some images of c/6 electric funtional
ware. I could email you images on a disk and if you were interested in the
work I could send slides, which are of higher quality than disk images. I
live and work in Suwannee gad. and fire cone 6 porc. 99% functional work.
let me know. I am in the process of switching to c/6 soda. hope to have my
kiln built in the next couple of weeks, but will still produce electric work
for some time. look forward to hearing from you. mark knott

Hi Everyone,

In preparing for my NCECA Presentation, Great Results from Electric
Kilns, I need just a little more help. As part of that presentation I
am showing slides from a variety of potters whose work I admire and who
fire electric. And I have some really great ones from several Clayart
members and others. However, in looking over what I have I am a bit out
of balance. I need more slides from potters who make top notch
functional work -- dinnerware, vases, serving platters, casseroles,
etc.

Of course the first requirement is that they be great pots that were
fired electric. The second is that the slides be of professional
quality--a couple of people who I had lined up turned out not to have
professional quality slides. And while I'm giving a wish list, ideally
these potters would have taken extra care in the glazing/firing steps
that give them the results they get and be willing to briefly describe
their process.

Self nominations are welcome as well as nominations of others. Any
ideas?

Regards,

John

John,
I was in a couple Functional Nationals so I guess my plattrers would work.
Here is the web site. If you are interested I can try to find the slides and
will give a description of how I fire them.
