i am seriously thinking of signing up for the robert compton workshop on
altering wheel thrown shapes. this will be held in bristol vermont in early
july. has anyone taken this workshop or others by him? i would appreciate
having some feedback from other clayrters before i commit both the time and
money.

I took a workshop from Bob Compton called Experiencing the Fire. He gives a
wonderful workshop. He is a natural teacher. You not only invited to learn
the one topic, you are invited into the world that he and Chris have
created. Their dog's name is Shino. Shino would never beg at mealtimes but
once in a while would pass under the tables to pull napkins off people's
laps! Evenings held warm conversation and great anecdotes. We were welcome
to peruse their library. I hope I am lucky enough to return for the very
workshop you might attend.
