My husband bought a thermocouple for me from Stan Pawlak on Ebay, but I cannot figure out how to wire it. I tried emailing Stan, but could not understand how to use the unit he shipped me. He spoke in electricians terms. It's greek to me.
On the front of my unit it says "XTMD-3011". I also have a probe. And an "AC Contactor"
Does anyone else have this unit? If so, could you explain, in plain english, how to assemble and use the thermocouple. I feel so stupid.
Please help.
Thanks,
Joanne Fuller

Joanne,
I have this unit. There are two terminals on the back of the meter. Use a
piece of thermostat wire and put one of the copper wires to one of those
terminals (screws) and the other copper wire to the other screw. Then go to
the thermocouple and do the same thing. If it doesn't work, reverse the
wires on the thermocouple.

Joanne, remove the two wires from the old thermocouple and attach them to
the new one. Don't worry if you attach the wires to the wrong screws. If you
make a mistake, the temperature will go down instead of up. In that case,
reverse the wires.
