Sally, someone asked me offlist about the speech recognition software my
daughter Janneen was using. I thought I should mention it here because
with as large a community as we have, it is possible that others might
find voice assisted typing useful. ( Actually, I've thought of trying
this on my old laptop in the studio. If you have muddy hands, you
don't have to touch the keyboard.) :^)
It is by IBM and called ViaVoice. I found it on Ebay at a set
price as low as $19.95, and that includes a headphone and a
microphone. You can find it by going to http://ebay.com and putting
ViaVoice in the search engine.
