This is what I hate about Top Hat Raku Kilns; the smouldering legs
syndrome; the heat falls out sideways! My Raku kiln has a lid that lifts
off, the joint is halfway down the pot chamber, I lift it off and all
the heat is going upwards, nowhere else, SO much safer, AND I can fire
and treat up to 7 pieces all by myself without rushing and without short
changing any of them! Small pieces I lift out one-handed with Barbecue
tongs.
