Hi folks,
Leila sent me the following message to post for her. I'm happy to
oblige as Warren has been a major influence to many in the pottery
world.

Subject: Warren MacKenzie's 80th Birthday
Greetings!
I was looking at Warren MacKenzie's book the other day and noticed that
his upcoming birthday will be a major milestone.
On February 16, 2004 he will turn 80 years old!!!!!
I thought it would be great, if in honor of this occasion, he could be
inundated with cards and postcards wishing him well from people who have
been touched in some way by his life's work. Be it as a potter,
professor, mentor, friend, role model or whatever.
SEND HIM A CARD TODAY!
Please pass this on to others you know who might be interested in
helping to celebrate in this way.
Thanks to all! (Apologies to his letter carrier.)

Thank you Karen & Leila... what a great idea to show our appreciated for a
member or our profession who has helped bring studio potting to a new level. My
card is in the mail as we speak! (Wish I could be a fly on the wall and see
his face when he opens up all these birthday cards!)
All the best,
Ken
