I'm fascinating by this discussion. I love glaze on glaze decoration.

Greg Daly from Australia is a MASTER in this field and has superb techniques and results.

He will attend NCECA. It would be interesting to get him involved in this discussion.

Please take time to visit his work. It is amazing.

I have a cute anecdote about Greg.

Back in 1996, we took a gallery tour after the National Ceramics Conference in Canberra. There were more visitors than expected and they had to provide an extra mini bus. The driver was Greg Daly.

We arrived at one of the galleries where Greg and other top artists were showing their work.
My 12 y.o. became very excited and I called Greg to listened to her comments. She started raving about his work. I told her that what we were observing was the best ceramics in Australia. Then, full of importance, she told "our driver" that in our ceramic collection we had two plates made by this artist. Greg was very pleased to hear a young person's apreciation of his work. Then he introduced himself to my daughter, who was very shocked to know that our driver was such a famous person.
Back at school she wrote a paper about Greg Daly's art, meeting him and living with exquisite work at home.

It was a privilege to spend two weeks with Greg Daly at a summer
school back in 1992. I think the group of twenty eight people who
attended were guinea pigs for many of the ideas he introduced in the
book he published.
He covers everything.
If you can get to one of his workshops or demonstrations you will be
well rewarded.
Best regards,
Ivor Lewis. Redhill, South Australia

I just want to add that I have Greg Daly's book. It was a present from a
dear friend. It is just great. Many many ideas, and beautiful effects. I
am looking forward to his presentation at NCECA. Rikki
