waxing handles on greenware

updated fri 20 feb 04

I am waxing my handles on my porcelain mugs in the green state to prevent
cracking and pulling away. I am making a real mess of it and giving myself
the occasional hot wax treatment as well. Yowza! Is there some trick to
applying wax to wet clay without having it drip everywhere?

I will be water-carving these mugs so it is important that the wax stay put.
Thanks.

Carole - Use cold liquid wax.
