Thanks to everyone who has sent prayer bowl info...there are so many
varieties - and it seems that many different religions and cultures use them in
similar ways. Key things are that they be comfortable in the hand, most are shiny,
can make a "singing" sound if tapped (never wooden) and able to have things
burned in them and dispersed through blowing...the design is, primarily, up to
the creator ;-) Many have leaves or dancing figures or swirling patterns but
there is no set design. Some have prayers inscribed around the rim and I even
found some in crystal!
