Hi Peggy. You might try finding a glossy glaze you like, then
adding 3% to 7% Cerdec yellow stain. I use it to stain a shino glaze
that I fire to cone 10, and get quite a bright yellow.

I've put 5% pink and yellow stain in Shino. That's where the
name "Linda's Pink Shino" comes from. I've also used John Baymore's
blue slip under shino for blue. John did a reformulation of Gosu
(impure cobalt):
John Baymore's Slip for Blue Shino:
EPK 25
OM4 25
G200 feldspar 20
Flint 20
Borax 5
Zircopax 5
9% RIOX
.25% cobalt carb
