Ruth,
Once you enter the area of decorative and sculptural surfaces, whole
new and unrestricted methods of glazing can be used. On my web site I
have quite a few references to simple volume mixtures that can lead
to unique and colourful surfaces. There is a lot of flexibility in
the firing range too
I do not have a specific indigo glaze to refer to you but there are
many ceramic stains available and all it means is that some effort
has to be put into a few tests using 50/50 or 1:1:1 or 2:1 mixtures
